From what we have seen, the Dept. of Justice report will include some of the top issues that the Ferguson Commission has identified through our process of community engagement in our first 100 days of work.
In our polling, the community told us issues surrounding citizen-law enforcement relations were the most important to address. Recognizing issues of racial bias and discriminatory practices are critical as we confront our reality and move forward. The DOJ report will further inform our work as a Commission and strengthen our resolve to make improvements.
We will continue to seek action to make our region fairer and more just for all of our citizens and we will use the DOJ report for additional context and input for our work.
